Possession - KAITO KID x Reader III

As expected from Aoko herself, you had to stay in the hospital until you were fully ‘recovered’. You sighed as you laid back, listening to Aoko as she was talking about her day at school. You yawned and she seemed to catch this.

“You must be really tired, even though you’re just in bed all day.”

“Well, I’ve been trying to get all my work done so then I won’t have a huge pile once I get home.”

Aoko nodded as she left the room, leaving you with just yourself and your thoughts. You let out a soft sigh as you took your phone and looked at what was hot right now, noticing that it was Sonoko’s Uncle and Kaito Kid at it again. You chuckled at how the news was expressing their brawl, continuing to read the article. You were scrolling through your phone, continuing to read until you felt a breeze go through your room. You froze for a minute, sitting still as you felt something press against the temple of your head. You slowly rose your hands in defense, your phone on your lap as you tried to look at who was pointing the gun at your head.

“You are Ms. Bloodstone, correct?”

Your mask was soon over your eyes, eyes closed softly before you slightly turned your head to look at the man who held the weapon. He looked at you and you stared back, a small smirk on your lips.

“It’s rude to walk in on a girl’s room y’know.”

He only looked at you and slightly pressed the gun closer to your head. You grunted as you kept your hands up, shifting your body so that you were looking at him with a better angle. The smirked as he nodded to one of his friends, your door opening once again. You then noticed an old man show up into your room, his hands folded behind his back.

“Hello Ms. Bloodstone. We finally meet.”

“Don’t tell me you're that creepy old man that left me that stalker kind of note next to the flowers over there.”

You saw him cringe and look away awkwardly as you just snorted at you exclamation. He cleared his throat as he shook off that remark.

“An-Anyways. I wanted to ask you a favor.”

“Hey now, I don’t work that way. I don’t work for free either.”

The old man started to laugh as he only made you more confused to why he was here. He approached the side of your bed, looking at you in the eye. He told his men to stand down, which included with the man that was holding the gun to your head.

“I know that you’re close to Kaito Kid. I’ve seen you before on the news too.”

“Oh I am? I didn’t even know that.”

“Listen! I want you to find the Pandora before he does. I need the Pandora.”

“What, so you could live forever and ever?” You glared at the old man as he glared at you back. “You’re already old enough. You can just wait and just retire, old man.”

“GET HER!!”

You gasped as you heard the sound of the guns firing, moving as fast as you can to get away from all the gunfire. You were able to escape, grabbing your things as you shoved the blanket into their eyes. You laughed when they finally moved it away, watching you run away in your thief outfit. You could hear that some men were following you, glancing over your shoulder to see that the men that were there were on your tail. You started to taunt at them, the old man that was on one of his men’s shoulder just getting angrier.

“Geez, you men are grown up! Stop babysitting this old man!”

You yelped when you heard another gunshot, running faster than you did before. You turned corners, trying to get them off your tail until you saw a balcony near by. You ran through the door, stumbling a bit before you took a hold of your grappling hook.

As you shot your gun to the next building, you climbed onto the edge took a small tug to make sure it was secure. As you were about to make your jump, a gunshot was heard as well as a sharp pain shot through your left leg. You gasped as you lost balance and fell off the edge still having a grip on your grappling gun.

“Idiot, I want her alive! Why did you shoot!?”

You clicked the trigger as it shot you back up onto the next building. Luckily you shot on the other side so that the old man’s henchmen won’t see that you’re still alive. You gasped for air as you grunted painfully at your injured leg. You were breathing in slowly, trying to get a good rhythm back as you started to calm down.

All of a sudden you somehow landed at a spot near a place with all these show lights flashing everywhere. You looked at the sky as you noticed a puff of white smoke and there he was, Kaito Kid. Girls were screaming his name as he showed up, making you roll your eyes at the amount of attention he got. You tried to move as much as you could as your back was leaning against the wall. With all the attention he got, you couldn’t help with the smile forming on your lips and the laugh escaping through as well. His magic trick was splendid until you saw that he ‘magically’ walked in mid-air. With a soft clap, you applauded with the rest of the screaming crowd as he had successfully taken the shoes. He was about to fly off until he went to the other building and gave the other shoe to the camera man.

“Tell Uncle Jirokichi that I will return for the real shoe for this shoe is fake.”

“Al-Alright..”

The reporter took the shoe was Kid jumped off once more, his hang glider coming in handy. You watched him leave until you notice a glint of something bright. You gasped as you took out your gun, aiming it correctly and shooting on what it looked like a soccer ball and making it explode into a single fire work. The crowd mistook it as his show as they applauded and cheered at the show.

You sighed with relief as you saw Kid escape safely, looking down at the person who had tried to knock him out. You blinked when you saw a kid make eye contact with you and you swiftly moved away. You hid behind the same wall that you were resting upon, remembering that the little boy was running toward the building you were on top of. You hid behind the wall and grunted painfully, looking down at your injured leg. You jumped with a yelp when someone landed right in front of you.

“I didn’t think that you would show up to be honest.”

“Well, i would’ve if I wasn’t in such a pinch earlier.” You chuckled slightly, grunting painfully once more before you put your weight against the wall. Kid looked down at your leg and clicked his tongue before he carried you bridal style and ran off the other direction.

“Wh-What are you doing?”

“I saw Tantei-kun over there coming into this building. We have to escape before he gets onto your case as well.”

You smiled as you looked over Kid’s shoulder, noticing the door open and the said boy looking around for you. You chuckled as you sighed and let your head rest onto his shoulder.

“Thanks. I owe you one.”
