As a child, you hated being indoors for too long. Often times you would go outside to your backyard, playing with your new pup as you watched him run around with you. You laughed as your dog happily chased after you, but suddenly tripping over your own feet. Feeling something rather soft than hard rocks, you slowly looked at your surroundings and noticed a large meadow of flowers surrounding you. It also led up to a hill, making you look up. You got to your feet, making your way up the hill and slightly squinting your eyes as the sun shone into them. Once you were comfortable, you looked at the blue sky, mixed with pink cherry blossoms that were carried away from the wind. You looked ahead of you, noticing the big cherry blossom tree that carried the rest of the plant. You stared at it in awe, slowly walking closer to it.

"Woof!"

You looked down to find your dog gone, running around to the other side of the tree. You slightly panicked, due to the young pup's age.

"A-Ah, Charlie! Don't run!"

You called, running after him. You stopped, noticing that he had climbed onto somebody's lap by surprise and started licking his cheeks. He was disgusted by it, obviously and tried to pry the small dog off. You blinked and stared at the boy who seemed at least a year or two older than you and laughed, taking Charlie away. Before you could even take him away, he had heard your giggle and looked at the person who laughed, only to stare at you with something starting to bubble up inside his stomach. You grabbed Charlie, looking down at the boy and slightly bowed.

"I'm so sorry! He just likes making friends.."

You explained, petting Charlie's head. The boy seemed to break out of his own trance as he cleared his throat and looked away, a pout forming on his lips.

"Wh-Whatever.."

You looked down at the book he was reading, tilting your head to the side. Your eyes lit up as you sat down next to him, making him jump ever so slightly. You pointed at the book that he had in his hands, noticing that it was your [ f/b ].

"You like this book too? I love this book!"

"Re-Really?"

"Yeah, of course! The plot twist is amazing!"

You said, smiling up at him as he stared at you again. He gave a small and rare smile as he started talking to you about the book, not realizing that this was going to be a start of a new friendship.

"Eh? You're that good in math? Geez, Levi! Who knew you can be such a nerd!"

"I can say the same thing with you and your History class. You're like an old historian who time traveled just to get a good image from the other students."

You and Levi were now in middle school, walking back to your original hang out place after school ended. You both sat at your spot under the cherry blossom tree, resting your back against the large trunk of the tree. Levi sighed as he sat beside you, taking a glance at your side as he noticed you starting to doze off. He let out another sigh, catching your attention.

"If you're sleepy, you should've told me to walk you home. You look ugly."

"Its not nice to call somebody ugly, Levi! And besides, I'm not tired! I'm so..full of..energy.."

You yawned within the middle of your statement, your eyes feeling heavy and failing at you to keep open. Your head slightly rested itself on Levi's shoulders, making him stiffen. He glanced at you once more, his expression softening as you were softly sleeping on his shoulder.

"Baka.."

He lightly chuckled as he closed his own eyes, resting his head on top of yours. Charlie found the two of you an hour later, looking up at the two of you. He made his way in between the left over gap in between you and Levi's thighs and got himself comfortable and slept as well. Let's just say that both of your parents and his parents found each other at the least place they were to find you too.

High school came along and you were a first year. You remembered what school to go to so that you have Levi to help you around school. You applied to the same school as Levi, since he was a third year. You smiled as you got your acceptance letter from the school, screaming as you jumped around.

"Oh! I have to tell Levi!"

You reminded yourself, taking your bike and holding the letter tightly, you sped off toward the same cherry blossom tree that only the two of you knew. Or so you thought. You finally got to the place of the nice white daisy meadow, running past it and running up the hill. Your cheeks slightly pink from the exciting news that you had received and ready to tell the most important friend in the whole entire world. Running up the hill, you can feel yourself growing tired slightly, but that didn't stop you. Almost reaching the top, your anxiousness grew as you held up the letter above your head.

"Levi! Levi, look! I go--"

You stopped yourself as you looked past the tree, watching as Levi let himself pull away from a different girl ever so slowly. Your arm that was once above your head over excitement, dropped to your side as you stared at Levi pull his face away from another girl's face, his arms wrapped securely around her curvy waist. His lips held a smile, his forehead resting against hers as they both laughed at each other affectionately. You stood by the distance, your chest suddenly giving off a really bad pain. You turned around on your heels abruptly, leaving the couple behind. Once out of sight, Levi slightly turned and checked the other side of the cherry blossom tree, finding it empty.

"Levi, What's wrong?"

The girl looked at him, taking a glance at what he was looking at. His sight lingered at the empty sight for a little bit longer before shaking his head and looking down at the girl before him. He gave another small smile, hugging her form.

"Nothing, Petra. Its nothing.."

He replied with a low murmur, his eyes closing and taking another glance at where you could've been if it was just the two of you.

The school year started and Levi had caught notice that you were in the same school as him. He looked at you time to time, giving you smile, but only for them to be ignored coldly. You looked away from him and tried to focus more on the new friends you made through the process inside that school. You hid everything with a smile on your face, nobody really knowing your tactics or your real feelings. you tried to ignore Levi as much as possible at school, thinking that it would be ruining his image if a first year spoke to a third year like him. But he thought differently. Being so concentrated on you, caused him his relationship with the short, sweet and kind hearted girl. Although he wasn't paying to her anymore, she knew that there was something going on in his head. She smiled at him as she kindly ended their relationship, letting him go to think things through. Levi laid in his bed for who know's how long and covered his eyes with his arms. He kept on wondering why his chest didn't hurt when Petra broke it off with him, but extremely hurt when he thought about you.

He needed some time away.

Some time to occupy his mind.

Some time to be away from you.

So he did.

You haven't talked to Levi for the longest time, and its almost the end of the year. You slowly made your way to the top of the mountain, looking at the blossom tree barely growing some new ones. You stared at the branches filled with your favorite kind of flowers, not hearing the rustling of the grass as someone else came on top of the hill. You heard a fainted and sharp gasp, making you look toward that direction. Your eyes widened looking at the man that you wanted to see last. You turned around, planning on walking away from him, but only for him to catch you before you slipped through his fingers again. He noticed that you weren't looking at him, his chest feeling the pain come back to him.

"[ name ]..."

He said, your body flinched slightly as your name rolled off his tongue so easily.  Your body couldn't move as he gently tugged your body time to time, finally turning you around to face him. Your head was ducked low, your eyes focused on the ground as you stared at the two pairs of feet that stood n front of each other. He lifted your face by tipping your chin, your [ e/c ] eyes now focusing on his steel blue. your expression changed immediately as he smiled at you, the hand that tipped your chin now resting on your cheek.

"Finally, you looked at me.."

You looked away, feeling heat rise to your cheeks. You gently pushed him away by pushing him by his chest, still not looking at him and the color of your cheeks darkening.

"St-Stay away from me..you have a gi-girlfriend, don't you..?"

Levi stared at you for a minute and laughed, making you look at him slowly. He smiled and shook his head, ruffling your hair and making you whine. You went to go fix your hair before Levi decided to answer your question.

"I don't have a girlfriend anymore."

Your eyes widened and you looked at him with disbelief. You started to ramble on why this happened and he just stood there as you continuously asked him questions, failing to notice that the expression on Levi's face grew different until you noticed his quietness. You straightened yourself out and looked at him, now worried.

"Levi?"

It took him a while to respond before he looked down at your hands, and gently taking them. You stiffened as you noticed this sudden action, the familiar pink hue coming back to your cheeks once more. You began to stutter for a few more seconds until Levi sighed and held your hands tightly, his eyes closing. You looked at him again as he leaned his forehead onto yours, your cheeks growing hotter if possible.

"[ name ], I'm going to be joining the military.."

You looked at him in shock and slightly stepped back to take a better look at him.

"Wh-What? Why!? Bu-But, Levi! You can't just join the mi-military! You're going to get yourself hurt! An--"

He cupped both of your cheeks, making you shut your mouth. He caught you by surprise and you looked at him as he had a sense of regret in his eyes.

"I know it was a bad idea but..I need this..So please, trust me.."

Your eyes softened as your placed your hands over his and looked at him straight in the eyes. You hadn't realized that you were crying silent tears until he started to wipe them away with his thumbs. You shook your head, tears still running down your cheeks. Levi slightly held you closer trying not to look just as sad.

"Pl-Please don't leave Levi..please don't leave me alone again.."

You pleaded, holding his hands tightly against your cheeks as he  responded by pulling you even closer to him.

"Promise me something, [ name ].."

You looked up at him, your eyes stained with tears as a few more continued to threaten to fall. He wiped your eyes ever so gently and moved his hands so that they were stroking your hair. He looked at you straight in the eyes, determination filled within them.

"No matter how long I will be away, will you think about me, please..?"

It didn't have to be asked but you responded with a curt nod. You wrapped your arms around him, Levi doing the same as he engulfed you into a hug, holding you as if you were going to disappear once he lets go of you. You held onto him for a little while longer until you slowly released him and looked into his eyes again.

"Think about me while you're there?"

"Of course I will..you'll be the only person that I will ever think about.."

You gave him a genuine smile, causing him to smile back at you. The spring atmosphere spread through the wind that day, and you hadn't realized that that was the last time you were going to ever see Levi again.

        ~    ~    ~    ~    ~

Years passed and you visited the cherry blossom very often. You spent New Years, Christmas, 4th of July and even your birthday at the cherry blossom tree. Of course you hadn't forgotten Levi's birthday, so you left small birthday gifts that would seem to make him happy. You sighed as another new spring season was coming, the cherry blossoms flowing through the wind as they also formed new ones in the process. You smiled at that, smiling as memories of you and Levi flooded your memory. Your lips let out a sigh as you climbed up the hill, crossing your arms slightly to give yourself a little bit of warmth. How long has passed? About 7 years? Once on top of the hill, you happened to notice that one of the teddy bears you left on Christmas was missing. You blinked and looked around the tree and looked up at the branches, only not being able to find it. You huffed your cheeks as you placed your hands on your hips, sad that one of the gifts you left for him was missing. You were too busy thinking on where the bear could've gone that there were small and quiet footsteps coming towards you. The man held a stuffed teddy bear in his hands, a small smile that twitched on his lips, growing even more when he was getting closer.

"Excuse me, but are you looking for something?"

Your eyes widened as you turned around, finding the man that you have been waiting 7 years for. Levi. You ran to him, hugging him like you did before he left as he responded quickly. Right when you latched yourself onto him, he hugged you back, spinning you in a circle as the sound of your laughter escape your lips. He placed you on your feet, looking down at you as your eyes sparkled with joy.

"Oh my gosh, I missed you so much.."

"Did you keep your promise?"

You nodded, your hands slightly resting on neck and roaming a little into his hair. He wore his General outfit rather nicely and that made you blush slightly. Also the way his hair is slicked to the side a bit made him look more mature before he left. You continued to smile, looking into his steel blue eyes as he looked into your [ e/c ] eyes.

"I missed you [ name ].."

He said in a whisper, making you laugh again. You smiled as you noticed the teddy bear in his hands, laughing even more and grabbing it from him.

"I got worried for a second! I thought someone stole this!"

You said as you dusted the bear with your hands and turned around to put it back to where it belonged. You smiled with satisfaction as you looked at your work, only to realize there was something else there too. You crouched down to a pair of stuffed bears, holding a heart together. You looked at Levi as he just chuckled and stood beside you and crouched to the same position. You grabbed the pair and giggled at their affectionate cuddle against each other and looked at Levi. You pointed at them, a smile still on your face.

"I have never seen these guys before. And I don't remember putting them here.."

You said, looking at them a little longer. It was then that Levi stood from his spot, helping you up in the process. You were confused as you looked up at him, still holding the pair in your arms.

"Levi? What's wrong?"

"[ name ]. There's something I need to do.."

He said as he stuck his hand inside the heart in between the bears, ever so gently, only to take out..a small red velvet box. Your eyes widened as he continued his action, kneeling onto one knee as he looked up into your eyes that were starting to form tears of joy. You clamped your hand over your mouth, your left hand gently taken into his.

"[ f/n ] [ l/n ]. After our long lasting friendship for the past years, I have grown feelings for you. And I mean strong feelings for you. After getting a few of your letters that you sent to me while I was in the military, I just knew that once I came back, I needed to make you mine. So..i-if I may..will you do the honor..of becoming my wife, for the rest of our lives..?"

Levi spoke, his voice filled with love, emotion and true passion. Tears were already spilling as you gave him a nod and a muffled 'yes' from behind your mouth. His eyes widened as he stood up, cupping your face as he kissed you for the first time. Releasing each other, he placed the diamond ring on your left ring finger, making you slightly muffle happy sobs from your mouth as you looked down at your hand. You looked at him, tears staining your face once more as he pulled you in for another kiss, feeling his feelings pouring out to you. Both of you pulled away as he wrapped his arms around you securely, looking down at your smiling face.

"I love you Levi.."

You confessed, finally. He smiled even more ( something that you hadn't thought was possible in the past ) and stroked your cheek before kissing that same cheek.

"I love you [ name ], just as much as you do.."

He replied, hearing your laugh soar in the sky once more.

Spring was always full of surprises. And also full of great new starts. Spring then become your most favorite season of your life time.
